Dr. Eva García-Lecina earned her PhD in Chemistry at Barcelona University (Spain) in 2003. That year she moved to Fundación CIDETEC, an organization for applied research that integrates three international reference institutes in the fields of energy storage, surface engineering and nanomedicine. She has held various positions in the surface engineering area, including being responsible of the Scientific and Technological Coordination of a group of more than 75 researchers and professionals. She has directed numerous national government and industry sponsored projects and has participated in European projects and networks of excellence. She is a member of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry and the Claustre de Doctors of Barcelona University. She is also Spanish representative of the European Academy of Surface Technology (EAST). Her research outputs have been partially disseminated through peer reviewed international journals and presented in more than 55 international congresses.
Since Jan 2018 she has been the Director of CIDETEC Surface Engineering, the core of an innovation hub specialised in Surface Engineering.
